This Cancellation Policy outlines the conditions under which service appointments, initial deposits, and contract cancellations are processed by Effluvialabs (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
Effluvialabs provides professional on-site sewer odor inspection and diagnostic services across authorized European operational zones.
Important Notice: The payment processed via our website represents an Initial Consultation Deposit. This deposit covers initial administrative requirements, preliminary scope evaluation, and reserves an operational field team schedule for your property. The final remaining balance for total diagnostic performance is governed separately by your individual customized quotation.
- Service Booking & Cancellation Workflow
To maintain operational efficiency and clear communication, all service engagements follow a four-step framework:
Initial Requirement Discussion: The Client submits property location and drainage emission details.
Customized Quotation: We issue a formal written quotation detailing the required diagnostic scope and overall costs.
Deposit Payment & Scheduling: The Client pays the initial consultation deposit online to confirm the appointment.
On-Site Inspection: Our operational team conducts the diagnostic assessment on-site, after which any remaining balance is invoiced.
- Statutory Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)
3.1 14-Day Statutory Withdrawal Window
If you are contracting as a consumer within the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the statutory right to withdraw from this distance contract within 14 days without giving any reason, in accordance with European Union consumer protection directives and applicable national laws.
The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day the contract is concluded (i.e., upon successful payment of the initial consultation deposit).
3.2 Exercising the Right of Withdrawal
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us of your decision through an explicit written statement sent before the 14-day period expires:

3.3 Statutory Exception for Immediate Service Performance
If you request that the scheduled diagnostic inspection service begin during the 14-day statutory withdrawal period, you expressly acknowledge and agree to the following:
You authorize us to commence performance of the preliminary or on-site diagnostic service prior to the expiry of the withdrawal window.
Once the on-site inspection service has been fully performed, your statutory right of withdrawal ceases completely.
- Rescheduling and Operational Cancellation Rules
4.1 Client-Initiated Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancellations Made 48 Hours or More Prior to Appointment:
You may cancel or reschedule your diagnostic appointment free of charge by providing written notice via email at least 48 hours before the confirmed service window. Any initial consultation deposit paid will be refunded in full.
Cancellations Made Less Than 48 Hours Prior to Appointment:
Cancellations or rescheduling requests received with less than 48 hours’ notice prior to the confirmed service time may result in the forfeiture of the initial consultation deposit to cover administrative preparation and reserved field team allocation costs.
4.2 Company-Initiated Rescheduling
If severe weather conditions, unsafe property access, or unexpected structural barriers prevent our field team from conducting the diagnostic inspection safely on the scheduled date, we reserve the right to reschedule the appointment in consultation with the Client. If a mutually suitable alternative date cannot be agreed upon, the initial deposit will be refunded in full.
- Refund Processing Procedures
Where a refund is approved under the terms of this policy or statutory provisions:
Refund Method: Reimbursements are issued using the original method of payment utilized during the initial deposit transaction.
Processing Timeline: Approved refunds are processed promptly and initiated within 5 to 7 business days following receipt of your valid written cancellation notice.
Transaction Charges: Customers will not incur any additional administrative fees for refunds processed under statutory withdrawal rights.
