Basement Drain and Sewer Odor Assessment

Description

This service is intended for basements, lower-ground floors, and below-grade utility areas where sewer-like odors may develop around floor drains, sump areas, or accessible drainage connections. We inspect visible drain openings, accessible water traps, nearby pipe connections, and surrounding surfaces for signs of stagnant water, residue buildup, moisture, or other conditions that may contribute to persistent odors. Where relevant, we consider whether the symptoms may be associated with an ineffective water seal, restricted drainage, a faulty connection, or an issue involving the property’s drainage and ventilation systems. The assessment also helps identify areas that may require more detailed inspection before a repair plan can be prepared. Confined-space entry, sump pump servicing, water extraction, concealed pipe diagnostics, and major repairs are not included in the basic service and require separate arrangements.
